After decent rain for a couple of days, the termites were about. A sight to see Tawney Eagles, Bateleurs, and hunderds of Abdim Storks trying to catch the small prey in the dry riverbed.

Nice stare straight into the camera. I like the ruffled feathers on the head with good detail. Nice OOF BG too

For some reason i end up cross eyed myself when I stare into the birds eyes :D

Good exposure, neat stare, nice background. Focus is well attained but I would apply a small round of sharpening for web presentation to get the fine detail a bit crisper. Square comp works well enough.

Thank you Shane, Daniel, Ritesh and Grace.

Daniel, after resizing for Web and resharpening for web, I backed off a bit on the layer opacity for the sharpening- I was told my images was over sharpened.

Incidentally this was a LARGE crop, the IQ was retained with the D3S..

Image looks fine on MAC, does look a bit flat on laptop?

    Thank you for comments!

    Cheers

    Andre

Hi Andre - great stare, exposure and detail. It held up well to your crop.
