    A nice comp on this one. Lacks a little detail. A higher ISO would give you more shutter speed needed from a moving boat.

    Nice pose on this image. I second Alan's advice on shutter speed. With the 5D3 you can easily go up to 800 ISO or even higher.

    Good advice above. With the camera you are using, there is no reason to keep your ISO below 640 or 800 unless you know you have time to work your subject. Had you not been on a moving boat, the 1/250 would surely have worked for a perched bird. You have a good pose here, a nice composition and I like the vegetation by the bird's head.

    Hi Colin, I like the angled stare, follows the line of the perch. We have a great view of his head and beak.

    I like the pose but the bird is OOF. looks like focus was on the leaves behind the bird
