Hi Colin - the look of the baby peering through is priceless. Nice sharpness. The baby is so small in the frame that one is first drawn to the mother so I do wish that her head was either parallel to the sensor or slightly towards it rather than away. There's a heavy blue cast to the mother and to the near branches and to a lesser extent a cyan cast. Easy to correct though. Let us know if you need tips on how to do so. Looking forward to more of your wildlife images.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Colin, Rachel gave good suggestion above. I find my eye drawn to the clipped tail of the Mother, and since the baby is so small, I might be tempted to crop a little closer. It's a personal thing, but you might consider this alternative crop. TFS. Loi

Hey Colin. Cute moment indeed! I would consider a portrait crop, taking off from the sides to place more emphasis on the little face. The colour has been mentioned, not too hard to rectify (besides the blue and cyan, I see some magenta coming through too).

Thanks for the comments and advice. Normally I don't have much trouble deciding on a crop but this one had me struggling so here's the original to have a go at. All contributions welcome . You will see that I had taken out that vertical stick at the front.
Loi, your crop is quite nice.

Hi Colin - Just a reminder that it helps in the critique process if you let us know any significant pp including crop and whether you have cloned or added anything. It looks from your most recent post that most of the color issues were introduced during pp. The crop on this one is tough because if you want to place the emphasis on the baby, you need to crop close and then cut off the tail. If you want to include the whole tail then the emphasis isn't really on the baby. Here's a possible alternate vertical crop keeping the tail in and placing mother and baby in a ROT position.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Nice tender moment well captured Colin, the crop really is a bit of a dilemma with mum's tail sooooo long, I think Rachel's RP is probably the best compromise.

This is very cute, Colin! Agree with Rachel's suggested crop, besides the tail, it also allows for the environment to show. Lovely pose, I hope you captured more images of these lovely Langurs, would like to see more

    Kind regards,

My vote is for Loi's crop - nice detail, close up. Almost as if it's at arm's length.

Can't add more to what has already been said. Nice pic, Colin!
