Whow! Brings back some nice memories. Nice complementary background, good feather detail, classic pose. If the photography gods were smiling on you the bird would have been looking down the lens.

    Ben:

Excellent pose with wings down, clear view of head, etc. Lovely bg, wish there was a bit more nest above.

I would consider pulling back the yellow channel just a bit, as the yellows are in the 250s in some spots.

    Cheers

    Randy

Nicely done. I love the color, the wing position, and that great nest. Like Randy, I'd like to see a bit more of the nest if you have it. I might brighten the head a little.

Very nice image. Love the pose and the eye contact. Some of the feathers on the wing don't have the same detail as the others...did you run some NR on it?Well done.

This behavior is not easy to capture as I well know from attempting to capture this species building its nest at the local zoo. I love your BG and the upside down pose. Wish like Doug for a tad more of the nest.

Hi Ben, great IQ in this, and well timed to show off the wings. Nice and sharp where it counts, and the weaver pops nicely from the BG. With these type of images showing all of the nest if possible seems to work better, and more so if you can show the nest attached to a smaller branch. Im fine with this comp, as we have a great view of the weaver.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
I do not have more space at the top-the nest was cut off at that level. It was windy and the nest moved up and down.
Yellow is a little hot. The feathers on the wing is not that sharp-motion blur.
I have other frames that include more of the nest. I shall work on one of those and repost.
    Thanks again for the help.
    Ben
