It's that time of year, and there have been quite a few posts of owl and their nests on this forum lately. I thought I'd share a nest that Doug found years ago (and somehow refound this year). It's unusual, in a slot about 30 feet up a cliff wall.

Here's a shot of the momma owl that Doug posted about a week ago.

I went for something a bit different, making a pano of four images to show the entire cavity. I thought this would be a good way to show the environment without compromising too much detail on the owl.

Well done Miguel! Strong composition; I like the placement of the bird in the dead center of the crevice. I just love this nest. Hoping to get a good look at the owlet very soon.

Here's a shot of Miguel at the nest. A great place to spend a morning or an afternoon.

Love your comp for this pano, Miguel. The only thing that concerns me here is that the unhatched egg is not obvious enough to the viewer. I might consider lightening it up just a tad for that reason.

What a cool nest site in that cliff. Looks like the morning sun shines on it well. I really like the pano for this one and the female in brood mode looks great too.
Should be really nice to shoot once the babies are fledging. Look forward to more from this neat location. Well done Miguel
