I first used NIK ProContrast and Tonal Contrast on this image, and then applied Topaz Buz Sim 2. Comments and critiques are welcome.

Wendy, I've always been drawn to colorful marina/boat images and this is no exception. Great, saturated colors with a painterly feel about it. The Tones of the boats perfectly compliment the color of the water! How do you feel about a longer crop for this one-maybe even a pano taking off the top of the mast on the right?

Thanks, Randall. I like your repost: I'm not sure the tops of the other masts really added much, and I like the pano effect a lot! I'll be interested in what others think.

Very hard to comment about cropping on my small travel laptop. I have to scroll in both directions just to see the entire image! I do love the bright colors of the boats against the blue-green chop on the water. I also like the composition & symmetry of the horizontal boats with their bows all facing in one direction vs the vertical repetitive lines of the masts.

I love the colorful boats and water. I like your use of Simplify, it looks like a painting! I like the pano crop better.

Nice work Wendy, love the painterly look! I'm also fond of boat/marina images and always wonder what to do about the masts. It seems that, if you leave them in the image becomes too tall but if you crop them out then it looks a bit odd. Maybe not though, I like the cropped version.

Very nice colors. I'm not sure about the crop suggestion. Seems it would cut out the masts too much.

Hi, Wendy, I prefer the cropped image also.

I love the bright colors and the light! The lines of the tangle of masts are fantastic, and go nicely with the horizontal lines of the water, horizon and boats. Nice reflections. Just the right amount of movement in the water. I see what Randall might be getting at with cropping some off the top--it places the horizon line not so much in the center of the image. But, the crop takes away from the wonderful masts. Hence, I prefer the original version. Wendy: It seems you have a variety of opinions here. :-) At any rate, either version is an outstanding image.

Beautiful colours and composition. I like the OP.
