    Default THEME: Desaturated princess

I painted this in PS, and lowered the saturation to make it look even more aged. This is my niece, who had been to the ren faire and was still in her costume. I got a lot of really cool shots of her. She is a lovely young lady and made the costume elements herself. Three textures applied including a canvas texture. Nik recipe applied, which contains a vignette, blur vignette, and glamor glow. Three mixer brushes used for the painting.

Stunning! OF course, your niece is stunning, but your photograph and process are also stunning. Love the profile and her expression. Beautiful skin. Love how her face shines out of the darker surroundings. I wonder about cropping some off the top and darkening the light area up there. Well done!

The texture is beautiful, and the reddish-brown aspects of the background nicely complement her hair color. And I do agree your niece is stunning, although your combination of NIK effects enhanced her beauty nicely.

This is awesome! She is very regal and beautiful! Your excellent processing makes me feel like I'm looking at an exotic princess in some museum on past cultures!

The only thing tipping me off that this is not "old" is her short hair. Texture, technique, coloring----all work together for a beautiful portrait of a beautiful lady. I think I agree with a slight crop on the top.

Kerry, she is indeed regal. The painting and desaturation are perfect for the image. I know she'll be happy with it (She looks pretty talented herself if she made the costume!).

Beautiful work Kerry, I love the rich earth tones and the textures. I can see creativity runs in your family. Small crop from the top?
