Fog at sunrise in Cades Cove. I used 3 textures on this, 2 from 2 Lil Owls.

Lovely colors and solid composition-one of the textures appears to have writing in it, a neat touch. Is there a special meaning to it?

Thanks Randall. No, it's probably French, that's all the rage now in vintage textures with text. I didn't try to read it. That texture wasn't part of the 310 textures from 2 Lil Owls deal that Kerry posted about. I bought the deal and used 2 of them and that one on top. In fact I bought the other set that came up after I bought it so I now have like 520 of her textures plus a great pdf tutorial and other free textures in it!

Very nice. I like the trees outlined against the sky and mountains, and the bit of fog colored by the sunrise. Pleasing composition. The mountains come down to point to the trees and fog.
Just left of the center of the image in the sky portion, there is a vertical and a horizontal line, which almost looks like the corner of a texture layer.

Thanks Anita. That's part of the texture and not the edge of it but sort of a box effect. I toned down that texture a good bit so the other elements aren't that visible, there was more "stuff" on the right that doesn't show up with the other 2 textures in there. But I kinda liked it

OK. So, it is there intentionally. I personally find it distracting because it is almost in the middle and looks to me like a mistake. If it were to the side, I might have a different reaction. But, of course, it is your photo.

Hi, Judy, I love the balance of the image. I agree with Anita that the lines in the center are a distraction. Maybe just partially cloning them out? I love the ground fog in the distance

What yummy colors! And the fog is wonderful!

I think I'd mask out the edge of that rectangular area, if it was me -- it doesn't quite work for me with such a pastoral scene.

Beautiful colors and shapes to the layers. That sky color is awesome! I agree that center horizontal and vertical line in the sky texture is a bit distracting. The scene is all about long, gentle horizontal lines. Your eyes are naturally guided to the almost secret glow of fog that provides a delicate and well place detail.

I'm looking forward to playing with all the new textures from that download you alerted us to.

Thanks everyone. I'll work on it to remove that area or maybe find one with text that is more subtle overall.

Here's a re-do with different text in png form added and the other texture removed. I like it better.

Great job on the repost Judy! This is a sweet image, nicely thought out and executed. Love the colors and textures.
