I think there are a couple of swallow species here: Barn Swallow with tail streamers and red throat, plus immature without, and Northern House Martin with the deeply forked tail and white throat. This was taken from a boat in the very large dam at the Kabini River Resort, southern India. A cool morning, soft light just before sunrise.
I can see some great head angles and nice light.
Wow, I bet this one was not to crop as I tryed with my eye and there seem to not be too many choices to choose from! I believe you did great and still would suggest a landscape crop just above the head of the swallow in the lower portion of the trunk, just an idea.
Nice early morning light and good eye contact with most of the birds. I agree with Juan Carlos that a landscape crop above the bottom bird might work. In any event, I suggest taking some bright sky off the top.
