    I took this image last summer and keep going back to it. I think it works but would like to hear other peoples views.
    I like the way that even though only a few small parts of the bird are visible it is still recognizable. My only wish is that the grass wasn't intersecting the eye.

    Please let me know what you think.

    Nikon D7000, 300mm F4 AF. 1/500sec f8 ISO560

    Hi Iain, I think this kind of image is really hard to pull off. IMHO, the bird is just too small in the frame to be recognized and the image is dominant by the grass. Loi

    Yes, not easy for the eye to find the ''eye''!
    I would also add that light in this one is a tad harsh. I see your point by keeping the image, but to my eye, I would prefer to see more bird and less habitat.

    Thanks Loi and Juan for the feedback. It is difficult to know if images like this work as when it is your own image you already know where the bird is.
    Maybe I need to rethink the idea if I get this opportunity again.

    Iain it's the sort of image that appeals to me and the bird is easily recognized ,it would be a boring old world if we all liked the same thing, good of you to post this.
