    It was worth the trip to India just to see this delicate bird, let alone get a half decent shot of it. Yes, bg too messy, light all over the place, head turned away to name a few issues. But anyway here it is

    I like the natural vignetting created by the vegetation around the bird and the nice long tail. it's a shame his head was turned away from us and I wish you had more detail there

    Hi Colin,
    Nice to read that you were in India.Beautiful image of my favourite bird. Where did you photograph? in which state?
    You will find him always in branches but he comes out for bath at water pool..
