Apparently this Egret and a Merganser were going for the same fish with the Egret snatching it up. I would like an opinion from those who view this image. The shadows on the body of the Egret from the drops of water... remove or leave along?

I like the shadows and the drops you`ve caught so i would keep them. They add a a bit of taste and give a sense of the power of the hunt. As for that i haven`t much to say except for nice moment and detail!
I like the action, water drops and composition. I'm would rather not have the shadows of the water drops but that is the reality. It would be interesting to see an image without for comparison. Well done Joe.
Thank you Luis and Jim for viewing and responding. I never thought of offering a comparison. Here is a quick edit for that purpose. Not my best work but for now I think it will serve the purpose.

Thanks Tim, I appreciate you viewing and commenting. No flash used, just early morning light. Maybe the light reflecting off the water made it look like flash. Looking at the image I agree, maybe 1/3 to 1/2 a stop overexposed.
