Lovely dramatic light, sky and action. I am in two minds about the tree though because while it is interesting it is a bit distracting. Maybe crop back to half the stem and tone it down a bit.

Thank you Colin. It is already toned down and cropped but still you are right.

What a sky!! I absolutely love the mood this image has to offer. I like the tree at left, but glad you mention it has already been cropped. If anything I would eliminate the paler bit of cloud touching the lower bird's neck. Great stuff!

Thank you Daniel. Originally the tree was was much more pronounced because strong light was coming from the left. Missed the paler cloud :)

Wow! this one is awesome. I was just there a few weeks ago and got lots of great shots but that dark sky really made for a dramatic and different shot. I like the pose on the incoming bird and the tree on the left. I agree with Daniel about the cloud touching the neck. This would make a great print!! If you are interested, PM me, I do allot of printing and can give you a great deal.

Hi wow what an interesting background and mood for this. I photographed ospreys before with Jim at this lake and this sky really makes it look different. I agree about the white cloud by the osprey's neck.
