    Hello all,

I took a little hiatus from photography. Yesterday after almost 1 year and 3 moths I picked up gear for the first time and went to Tigertail beach. Sat in front of a flock for shore birds for 3 hours in ankle deep water. Shore birds feeding all around, 3 tricolor herons and one great egret fishing.. it was just wonderful.. I missed being outside. So I renewed my BPN membership and back again. Looking forward to sharing my images and learning more from all of you.

Here is an image to start with. From my 2012 trip to Kaktoivk.

Welcome back Sid - it is going to be a pleasure seeing more of your work on here and also getting your feedback on the varied posts being made here by photographers of all skill levels.

This is a cracker, and you sure brought home the bacon on that trip!
Everything works here for me, a classic frame. I would have loved to see it bigger, and perhaps it needs a hint more sharpening on the cubs?

Hi Sid - I can only echo what the others have said. You and your images have been missed, welcome back! I've always loved your PB shots and this is no exception. Great action and the flying snow adds to it. Agree that I want to see it bigger.

    Welcome back, Sid!

And thank you for your kind comment on one of my images. Love your polar bears, great action captured and I like the bits of snow in the air! Well framed and presented, agree with Morkel on the need for a tad more sharpening but not a big issue. Looking forward to more from you, thank you for sharing this, I really enjoyed viewing!

    Kind regards,

    Hi Sid

    Love these "cuddly " cubs!

Nice POV to get horizon line correct.

The rules have changed, you can now post at 1200x900!

    Welcome back!

Have also tried a break, managed 2 weeks

Hi I agree this is beautiful. I love the flying snow coming off the polar bear on the right it captures the force and strength of the bear's paw.
