    I photographed these tulips inside using the natural afternoon light through the windows. I really wanted to capture the beautiful yellows and have the frame filled with color. Still having snow squalls outside so no spring flowers yet!

    Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 100 f2.8 macro, tripod, 1/40, f8, exp. comp. -2/3, ISO 400.

    Hi Nancy. Very nice job on those delicate yellows! I like the way the petal edges and lines on the petals lead my eye into the central area of the frame. Lots of nice diagonals going on here. For my tastes, I think there is a little too much space of the left - maybe this would work better as a square crop? It will be interesting to see what others have to say. This is very nicely done.

    Thanks Steve! I wasn't sure that I wanted to crop away that darker area in the lower left corner. It outlines a faint line that I thought also lead your eyes into the image. Maybe not necessary.

    I couldnt make my mind up on this one but I like the second one ! Much more impact in my view.
