I spent Friday morning @ Fort Desot. I am always so happy to be there. No trip to Fort Desoto is complete without a shot of the Reddish Egret.

Thats a cracking image. The vegetation in front - just right for me, as is the bird pose.

    Great stuff.

A classic pose well captured! I like that you got some good separation between the head and the wings.

I could see a touch of contrast on the bird, but otherwise it's great.

Oh wow this is a stunning image of this beautiful egret (which is in perfect breeding colours too!). The vegetation in front is so appealing. I miss Ft. Desoto...gotta make it a point to go back!!

Terrific capture, Robert. Wonderful pose, great POV, comp, colors; and the vegetation really tops it off.

Just love this. I try not to get too hung up about backgrounds but a great picture of the bird is finished off perfectly with the foreground and background.

Great shot of this guy. I have many shots of this same individual as I was there a few weeks ago and recognize the chip on his bill. He was the star of the marsh. Lots of fun watching him hunt.
Techs look great and I like the pose and breeding colors of this beauty. Well done.

It's all been said. This image really works well with those breeding colors and outstretched wings. The vegetation adds a lot as well and the comp is just right.

Very dynamic capture Robert with the outstretched wings, contrasting neck color and the tall grass.

Terrific composition and a wonderful capture of this egret. I've been traveling so am a bit late to seeing this. My trip included a couple of weeks in Florida with many visits to Ft. DeSoto and I also have many images of this great character. Great job.
