    Default Dipper

One from this week, I have been taking images of dippers on this bit of river for over 10 years and they have only used 2 nest sites in all that time.

Pretty cool to see all of the environment included, and I especially like the waves which make this quite unique.

I love these images of dippers! How cool to see it just casually standing in the running water. Perhaps a tad much oof FG water so I would crop a bit down there (to just above your signature). I'm also digging the various rocks and greens in the BG. Not too crazy about the dark element in lower right corner though. Well done!

Phil I agree with Marina about the environment, the mix of water and the green of the mossy stone add a lot to the picture, bird itself looks spot on to me,real nice shot.

I like the blur in the foreground as well as the low angle, sets off the habitat. I am surprised 1/400 stopped the water, I will remember that. I do agree with the odd part of the right lower corner, it doesn't seem to fit, could it be cloned out for a better foreground? This really captures this cool bird in his home, thanks for showing it! You are so fortunate to have these birds nearby.

    This is just beautiful.

If you are regular at this, have you tried using slower shutter speed to give the flowing water a beautiful feel. It will be very interesting to see the bird stand still and water flowing, what say?
