I found this small flycatcher while visiting the Antisana Reserve in the highlands of central Ecuador.
It remained still enough time so I was able to get some ok images of it. In fact, we were leaving the facilities when this one desided to perch on that plant/scrub.

    For this one I used

1D4+600f/4 (I)@f/8+1.4TC=840mm+EV+2/3+ISO1000+SS1/200sec.+Hand Held+ slight crop for compo.+LR+Resized and sharpened in PS CS6+composed in camera+natural light. No playback or feeder here but the real thing!

Thanks for your input Arash. After inspecting the image more in detail, I found that it really looks bright on the BG. I also applyed some NR on BG. Here's a quick repost. Let me know how it looks!

The RP is really quite an improvement. I would not have imagined that darkening the BG would have made this much of an improvement. Good eye by Arash. Love the pose and the perch. Wish the twigs weren't so close to his face, but you did well with what nature gave you.

This is one of your nicest shots Juan Carlos.
Love the diagonal line created by the perch, the head turn, the lovely BG and the IQ. I really like the curly twigs of the perch.
