    Frank:

Lovely image of a very handsome bird, with excellent lighting, head turn, background.

Really the only thing that would have made it better was a bit smoother reflection, over which you had no control.

I would try a version with the luminosity of the reflection reduced a bit to reduce its eye grabbing effect.

    Well done!

    Cheers

Just gorgeous Frank. I love your Grebe series. I would like to see a repost that follows Randy's suggestion.

Hi Frank. Very nice. I really like the way my eye is drawn from the sharpness of the Grebe down to the lovely effect of the reflection.

The RP works better but I think I'd like to see the grebe sharpened just a tad more, esp the head, not beak. You really had great opps of this bird at this location!

Lovely image Frank. Pity the reflection wasn't crisper but that is totally out of your control. Beautiful bird and setting. TFS

Hi Frank, super low shooting angle, and I like how the grebe pops from the water BG. Your repost has worked out well.

I love this image, Frank. A wonderful subject surrounded by beautiful colors. I know I'll be swimming up stream on this, but I actually like the out-of-focus reflection on this particular image. It's presence adds to the balance of the composition, without drawing the viewer's eye away from the subject, and adds to the overall "dreamy" appearance of the image (IMHO).
