    Default Master of Disguise



    It has been a great season with Screech Owls. I have been fortunate enough to have photographed several nests this year. They started nesting as early as December and I still have a two more nests. This is by far the best cavity that I have ever photographed.

    Wow, this guy really blends well in that tree!
    Very nice exposure and light. Looking at the different patters on the bark, many other things come to mind.

    Killer nest tree. Owl almost invisible. I hope you are taking some images of the entire cavity with that green BG over on the left. Now that I see this image on a large monitor, the owl doesn't even look real. :)

    What a gnarly nest cavity! I like the wide perspective you show us here, and I bet you got some great close-ups too.

    Marina, I tried many different angle, only this one has the best green BG, going wider actually gets too much variation of light. This is the first year I photograph gray form SO. They don't look as real as the red. hahaha
