    Default Theme: Mallard in Fog

Last weekend, I went to a local park at dawn to do some bird photography, and found that the river was covered in a foggy mist. It looked like a great scene for some landscape photography, but I just had my bird lens with me! So I captured this mallard in the fog. I tweaked the image with CEP Tonal Contrast.

Hi Wendy, the fog looks great sitting on the water and the color is lovely. Looks like the duck is paddling off into the mist...

Beautiful image, Wendy. I like the placement of the duck and the warm colors in the image.

Great thinking for seizing the moment of what was right in front of you! Love the silhouetted duck completely surrounded by fog and the golden colors. The trailing water provides perfect lines for leading the eye to the duck, and adding a bit of definition to the water. Very, very nice! And of course, perfect for the theme.

This is one of those back shots that really does work. The fog and tones lend atmosphere, very peaceful. Nicely done!

Sorry to have missed this one earlier. Congratulations. The various tones of sepia are lovely.
