A few days ago at a local lake, I was happy to see the Double-creasted Cormorants back in small numbers fishing right in front of me. There were several Great Black-backed Gulls including several first winters. The two GB-bG here are sharing, not fighting over this fish. I watched for quite some time, and instead of one taking it ashore, they cooperatively tugged it apart. Of course this lasted only a short time before several first winter GB-bG crashed the two, stealing the fish. Earlier had another visit from our friendly Horned Grebe. Very busy day. All c&c welcome.

Great shot of this moment, Geoffrey. With both eyes showing, both birds on the fish, and the raised wing, this is a terrific shot. Glad you were able to catch it before the youngsters came to interrupt their dinner. I could also imagine a little off the left.
