Another one from my recent trip to Southern Cal. These guys (along with the other two species of teal) were quite fast. Most of the time I acquired focus after they were past me (the switch from Nikon has got my brain still turning the wrong way for the initial manual focus). For this one, I was able to track it from a distance away and it helped that he never got past me :)

Nice timing, touchdown pose, angle of approach, and head angle. I guess that the somewhat harsh light, the seemingly lower than usual Image Quality, and the too large catch light combine to make me less than excited about this one. But I am not positive.
