Stunning capture. Perfectly sharp (IMO) great feather detail, whites are fantastic and detail and colours are great.

perfectly exposed, and a great pose. Tight in the frame, but it works for me here as I find myself travelling around the frame enjoying all fine details.

yes, perfectly exposed as I see it. The water is sharp vs the background. Bird is right on.

Must say I agree with the comments above, really can't see anyway to improve this excellent shot.

Stunner. Love the pose...all the colors, sharpness, exposure, low angle...a fine image of one of our most brilliantly plumaged ducks.

What a proud pose. Nice head tilt a beautiful colors. Low shooting angle and techs perfect. Bonus points for the purple cheek.

That's just a perfect wing-flap pose, with just the right head turn. Spectacular colors, great exposure, nice low POV. At first glance I thought the bill might need just a touch of selective sharpening, but the more I look at it, the better it gets.

You could not ask for a better wing position!! Great low perspective, pose, colours, processing.

Best I have seen of a woodie wing flap, the detail on the underside of the wing makes this very special

Sweet image, never get tired of looking at the wood duck.
Perhaps it needs a bit of CCW rotation? Did you tough the BG around the head?
