Tidied end of twig up a little. Don't like the plain backdrop but that,s where it landed.

Sweet. Love the bird, the head turn, the perch. And I know you're not a fan of smooth BG, but I think this one's lovely. Well exposed, too.

    Excellent pose here John!
Lovely light also, this must be one of those hard to miss species since it has such coloration! I am not familiar with this specie but I bet is a small guy! the tiny hooked bill is what catches my eye. Love the pose, BG and I wish the perch was not broken.

Great looking bird and I love the bg. Could reduce the noise some, and I do wish that the perch wasn't broken.

A lovely image, John. Well placed subject, with plenty of space to look into. I love the simplicity of the image. It gives full attention to a great subject.

Was a natural elderberry perch sticking out off a n old bush in a bramble patch. Couldnt do much about it I,m affraid . Good point taken though- use an artificial perch in future !!

Super John super excellent exposure and details one of your best I'd say. If it was mine I would get rid of the upright stumpy bit at the base of the tail
