    Default Green Sandpiper

    Green Sandpiper (Tringa ochropus)
    NW Hungary l April 2007
    Canon EOS-1D Mark II N l EF 600mm f/4.0L IS USM l Extender EF 1.4x II
    ISO200 l f8 l Aperture Priority

This is from my home photo site where I normally go for shooting. It is not really valid for this year as lack of time but in the next half it should be changed :) Hope I can post more of the new ones.

About the image: I wonder how do you like the legs hided by the foreground mud? Actually the bird was cleaning up the bug from mud in a shallow cove.

    Any comments are appreciated.

BTW: I could not find image uploading button. Did I missed something?

It is strange how pale the uploaded image looks based on the current one open in Photoshop
    Any idea?

Although I love low angles I kinda wish you were a tiny bit higher this time. I don't mind the hidden legs, but the mud extends to over parts of the belly. Great catch by the bird, and I like the action.

I love the action with the water drops flying, but I think the image would be much stronger if the legs were visible. The food item appears to be a dragonfly nymph.

    Hi Gyorgy!

I just checked right now ... (I was able to upload this screen capture) ... it appears that the uploading button is still in the same place. Is your button still missing?

    Hey Szimi,

Nice BG and the action is great with the drops flying, I dont mind the legs as much as the closed eye! Your low postion was perfect, The water was a little too deep for tbe bird!

Good ID Steve, I had no clue what the food item was, I was thinking it looks like a piece of seaweed!

    Gyorgy,
On "how pale the uploaded image looks".
Did you convert to srgb before you saved the image?

According to my EXIF viewer there is no color-space metadata and no embedded color profile.

It means I am a basic PS user.
Need some advice. ;) Should I describe my process?
