The bird is on a blackthorn branch these bushes bloom in March to April each year brightening up all the hedgerows in UK. Trust him to land on a broken twig!!
    All C&C welcome.

Jonathan I would not care to much about the broken twig, bird and Blackthorn blossom fully hold your attention, another beautiful smooth Bg put the final touches.

Great looking bird, excellent pose, details and pose, Jon. In a perfect world, the twig would have gone all the way to the right.

    So lovely specie!
Light is great, pose and excellent IQ. I wish the branch was not broken and if mine I would place the bird more to the left and would also crop a tad on top.

Love the look back pose, wonderful colors, lovely details, flowering perch and composition.
I don't mind broken branch, however if you wish, could place one or two flowers from another frame.

Wonderful capture, Jonathan. Beautiful Goldfinch, sharp detail, and like the head turn. Don't mind the broken branch.
