I found this handsome bird in my last photography workshop. It was bathed under beautiful light but the perch was way too busy, this by the way was not a set up, but that's where the bird decided to perch as this specie does not come to feeders.
I wish that littel branch was not ''touching'' the tail but shooting in the tropics can prove to be very difficult at times.
For this one I used
1D4+600f/4 (I)+1.4TC+ISO800+SS1/80sec.+EC+1/3+tripod+Minor post in LR+Resized and cropped in PS+Almost FF+I did some cloning on BG.
Beautiful bird Juan! I like the pose, sharpness, details and composition. I find the image a little bright as well. Was this image taken on your trip to Ecuador?
The boys above have a good point about the brightness of some areas, but man-o-man what a beautiful bird you present us here! Nice details and colours and I like the head pointed up a tad like this. The cloning in the BG is perfect as it is un-noticeable.
Bright?
Guys are you seeing this in a callibrated monitor? ha ha ha it's funny as before my images used to look dark and now they beging to looks OK to me but recently other photographers find them brigh. I will reprocess this one. Thanks for your input.
Jim this one was taken in Costa Rica, no such species in Ecuador!
What a sweet species. Love the natural setting and appreciate that it's in the wild. The brightness on the bird looks perfect to me on my calibrated monitor, agree that the background could come down a bit.
