Not too sure about this one I think the shutter speed should have been faster but the light wasn't too good and I took a gamble. Had to do quite a bit of PP in CS6, the juxtaposition of the birds is genuine,
    all comments welcome.

I am amazed by the PP work- especially the tail. I would never have known.
I like the brightness of the original image better. Good interaction shown,
    Gail

I like the action, composition and PP work. I agree with Gail on the brightness in the OP being better. Well done Jonathan.

Well done with the PP work Jon. I did notice the tail being a little odd before I saw the second post. Birds we don't get around here at all much unfortunately

Jon that's a lot of work!
You really handle it pretty well, in fact, I doubt I would have tried since there is a lot of time envolved in this kind of image but your hard work paid off! cool interaction, light and post work.

Thanks very much everyone, I did the repair to the tail by making a selection of the left side, I copied and pasted then moved it roughly to position. Then I right clicked and Transformed, then flipped horizontally, then positioned the selection and transformed shape until I thought it looked reasonable. The thigh was done by cloning. I have to thank Artie - I got his Digital Basics guide a few years back and this is where I learned the basic ideas from which I developed my own.
