A slightly more classic composition to the last shot, just love how those talons hand ready for landing.

Absolutely stunning capture, I love the detail and the head turn. Arguably a bit more negative space may help, but on the other hand it may lose it's impact.

Looking again, I'll opt for keeping it as it is!

I love the color palette of the image and the soft light.
Terrific head turn which makes the image.
IQ is excellent and I like the tight crop but can imagine that a slightly looser crop would be really nice as well,

Hey Neil, you must have been dam close on this one 1/1250 at f/4 great detail too. Nice soft colours work well in the BKG, separates the subject nicely, very smooth too for 800.

That'll do for me. A little bit more space around as mentioned would be a tiny nit from me.
No big deal Easily achievable with today's pp facilities.

Terrific catch. The subdued lighting, great head angle, and those talons, really make the shot. I'm fine with the tight crop in this case.

I am as split about the space as every one else. Don't think there was much to play with, certainly not where I need it ;) Thanks all.

nice pose and details. I like the eye contact and the view of talons. Agree it is too tight in the frame, and I wish the far wing was full extended.

Neil little nit covered, you have some fantastic detail and clarity in this shot from the birds beak to it's talons.

Makes my Squirrel look a bit boring.

Love the exquisite detail you got here Neil! Soft light has worked a treat, I actually like the "frame-filling capacity" here.

That beautiful Neil. An excellent pose and very nice derails. I am fine with the crop too.
