shot taken early this morning, the bird was chuckling to its self,I was scrambling about on piles of quarry rock which was frosty in the shade, and could not get the morning sun right behind me,but I don't mind side lit shots.cannon500mm IS L F4,7D,tripod,cropped and sharpened,ISO500,F2000S,F5.6,-2/3 EXPO COM.

Nice shot. I like the warm side-lighting. Good job on the feather detail.

Very very nice Chris! The side light is nice and warm and I'm glad you didn't try to "color correct" to get a neutral white.

I'd say a bit off the bottom for me.

Wonderful light against the gray bg Chris and love the detail and pose. Nicely framed too with a clean poopy-less rock.

Sweet, sweet light. The angled light adds a nice dimension. Love the pose, size in the frame, perch, bg and angle. Terrific image.
