I am still working on some Ecuador images, heck, that's going to take a long while since I shot over 14.000 pictures!!!

One day we visited a private reserve on the east slope of the Andes and that day we came away with a bunch of keepers. This one is the subspecies on the east slope, (Thraupis episcopus quaesita) it shows white on the shoulder and the blue is richer, at least to my eye.

    For this one I used

1D4+600f/4 (I)+1.4TC+f/8+ISO1600+Tripod+almost FF. +minor post on LR+Sharpened and resized in PS.

    Many thanks for looking.

Hi Juan, what a beautiful bird with that gorgeous shade of blue. Nice details and perfect head turn. Like the natural perch too. The white stuff in the bg is a tad distracting. Wonder if darkening it a bit would help. Overall the image appear a tad bright on my monitor, but then I haven't seen this bird before. TFS.

Lovely subject, pose and environment. I am with Sid on this looking a bit bright.

I like the perch, pose, HA, sharpness and composition. Well done Juan.
