    Excellent tonal range and color. It is an attractive subject with a nice open wing pose.
    The image would be better if there were more room around the bird; the crop is too tight.
    With my aging eyes I can't tell for sure if the birds eye is tack sharp. Is it?

    You did well with your exposure, Stuart. The egret flying away could have worked, but it doesn't work for me against this busy BG.
