Its been a while since I have posted on this forum, I retired from NASA thinking I would have more time to enjoy Photography, but ended up going back to work in the Oil and Gas Industry. That has kept me quite busy.
What was I thinking !!!!! Anyway, here is one from Brazos Bend State Park.
This has a nice environmental feel to it.
I like your composition and the grasses and BG colors.
The heron is underexposed unfortunately. I would see if you can brighten the bird up in PP but tone down the highlights in the perch.
Don't forget to tell us your EXIF data.

Nice comp, perch, BG. It's not everyday you get to see a heron perched on a post like this! I love most of the grasses, save for the two taller ones. A better light angle would have lit the wing nicely, but you got some nice late day (or early morning) mood going on...
