On September 12, 2010, my daughter Zoe and I took the 9-hour bus from the main gates into the heart of Denali National Park in Alaska. The scenery was unreal, with almost no clouds in the sky. This is the only way to get into the interior unless you want to walk or bike. Special permits are given to some but very difficult to obtain for most of us mere mortals. We saw Sheep, Bears, Caribou, Moose and Lynx in decent numbers throughout the park.

This view is special because my youngest daughter was with me. Everyone told us how lucky we were to see Mount McKinley (or Denali) without any clouds in the way.

I added in the bears, which were seen on the tour and applied various filters to obtain the desired fall effect

    Thanks for looking

Quite lovely Paul, this must have been the trip of a lifetime. The bears really add to the image and I like the blue of the foothills.

Hi Paul, what an amazing place! I can only hope to get there some day. The bears definitely add a nice touch to such a lovely scene. Thanks for sharing!

This is exactly how I imagine Denali to be, including the bears! Great saturation and really nice layers of composition and to have the added interest of the bears was brilliant. It seems just a wee bit crooked, like the lake is going downhill to the right?
