Default Low Light Experiment - Head on Ring Necked Duck Drake

Getting off from work a bit late didnt allow me to shoot. Looking at what others have done with 5D3 in low light I decided to give it a try any way.

This one was shot at a local pond after sunset on a heavily overcast evening. Would have liked to have the wing tips frozen and sharp but am happy with what I got in the conditions. What do you all think?

5d3+700 @5.6, ISO 1000, 1/1000 Handheld, no flash. full frame. Tilt left on purpose. Cloned out a small OOF duck behind the rt wing

C&C are welcome as always. Please critique the second image, I cant remove the wrong 1st image I posted.

    Thanks

Good exposure considering the light available and DOF holds both eyes in focus. Overall a fine take on the duckie.

Nice pose and eye contact, Amol. Those eyes are engaging. For the 5D3, ISO 1000 should be a walk in the park. I'd push it higher when needed for action.
