I photographed this returning home from a great canyon hike yesterday just as the sun was setting and throwing lovely colors across the sky. It had been cloudy with flat light most of the afternoon (bummer for my canyon images) and the clouds broke just as the sun was setting.

Lovely! Love that bit of sun on the ground, following the curve of the earth. Gorgeous reds and blues. Love this image.

Beautiful sky colors and I love the golden light on the ground! The filters you added give it a unique look that works well.

Lovely sky and nice that there's a hint of sun on the grasses, well done.

Nice Nancy! It is so cool that we often find something we weren't necessarily looking for from a day of shooting. The colors, texture, and mood are wonderful. It has a nice painterly look as well.

Nancy, as beautiful as the sky is I think the strip of light on the meadow makes the image. What a wonderful treat

Thanks, Cheryl! After I spent time working on the image, I came to the same conclusion.
