    Low tide was coordinating with sunrise at Ft. Desoto yesterday so Dottie and I made the drive. After photographing at the north lagoon we went and walked the beach where I captured this image.

    The surf gave you an nice sitting for this shot, Joe. I would selectively darken the mid tones of the bird.

    Hi Joseph, good angled pose from the Willet, and looks like he's enjoying the surf. Im not familiar with this bird, and wondered if they frequent the surf. The breaking surf works well here, and it has created a layered BG.

    Hi Joseph. I love the breaking waves and the composition. On my monitor it looks as though there is a slight halo below the beak. I think the background would benefit from a little nose reduction.

    Hello Stuart, thank you for viewing and commenting. I have found this bird both in the tidal flats and in the surf, it appears it is quite adaptable.

    Excellent image.Very nice pose,lights and 3D effect. Beautiful composition too.
