    A picture from the fall, the light was nice and late day and the great egret's were flying back to the trees and I caught one of them over the very lush greenery.

    The light is indeed nice and the bird is nicely positioned in the frame. The WHITEs look quite muddy and the white splotch above the bird is distracting.

    Thanks Arthur, yes the weird thing was is that the bird itself wasn't all that white, but maybe its the exposure contributing to the muddy feel. By splotch you mean the brownish blur in the bokeh above the bird?

    YAW. Seriously, it might have been a dirty bird. Yes, the bright splotch above the bird; our eyes tend to be drawn to unusually light or dark areas of the background....

    I like the pose of the bird and its position in the frame. I agree with the comment Artie already made.

    Dvir, In addition to the above comments I really like how you've used the light to make the bird pop out against the bg, this one has a 3d quality to it.
