    It is a rare visitor in our area (Lake Ontario)
    In fact up until now, I have seen only immature males around here.

    Nice, proud pose by this Eider. Love the water color interspersed with the ice. Quite a unique setting.
    The long focal length + the slow shutter speed + HH have contributed to some softness in the duck. Likely from motion blur.
    I'd have pushed ISO, and probably traded some of the DOF for shutter speed here.

    I like the composition and love the ice in the background. I agree with Sidharth re pushing the iso a bit to get a better SS.
