Default Best System for Cleaning Camera Sensor

I'm going to finally break down and buy a sensor cleaning system! What do you reccommend and which ones to stay away from? Thanks for your help, Jim Parker

I've had good results with Eclipse solution and type PEC pads. This is on non-pro Canon bodies and I'm not sure if others require different methods.

I have used eclipse solution and sensor swabs--as well as the lens pens from Birds As Art. I have had good results with both. I now use the lens pens--when you buy from BAA you get a detailed instruction file. Follow it carefully and you will have a clean sensor...

Would go with the Lens Pen. It is a dry system and very easy to use. If you have to resort to a fluids might as well send it in for cleaning.

If you get it from BAA Store you will get two pens. The small one is for the sensor and the large save for touching up lenses in the field. You will also get comprehensive instructions !!! Agree with Rocky 100% !!!!

One thing I forgot to mention is that the sensor swabs are really expensive--figure about $4 per swab...

visible dust has a series of brushes that uses a static charge to pick up the dust off the sensor. I also use the sensor swabs with eclipse 2 fluid to get the more stubborn spots off the sensor. One word of caution if you use one of the newer full frame sensors like my Nikon D3 then you need to use Eclipse 2 fluid not the original Eclipse fluid as it does something to the tin oxide coating on the sensor. The Eclipse 2 fluid will work on all the sensors so it is best to use that type for all your wet cleaning.

After using lens pens for the past 5 years and demostrating this method for the last few my advice would be to do yourself a favor and stay away from the wet method. In the past 5 years I have only found 2 dirty sensors that needed fliud for a stubborn dirt partical.
Havent tried any of the $100 brushes so I cant comment on any of these systems but I will be sticking with my $10 lens pens.

Since going this way thanks to Robert I have only had to use a wet method once. If works great, is easy and combine it with a sensor scope you can do it in seconds and in the field. Highly recommended.

Birds As Art sells the lens pen set, a rocket blower and a sensor scope with detailed instructions.

Contact Jim at BAA for more info and prices.
