    Hi Dan - these tortoises have so much character. Nice light. I know it can be tough to get a good shooting angle in a zoo but I find the comp a little awkward here, sort of an in between shot, not quite a head shot but not enough of the body either. What does the ff look like? I think it can use a bit more sharpening. It seems like the back left corner of the top of the head is the sharpest area.

    Hi Dan,

    So glad I saw your post before I uploaded my own Kalahari tortoise (mine is boring next to yours), this is indeed full of "character" just like Rachel said, lots of colour too and good detail. Since the IQ looks so good, I would even try a closer crop, WDYT?

    Hi Dan,
    good to see different stuff , something that we see not that often.
    Shooting angle not ideal i think , would have been better going deeper if that was possible.
    Overall i think the image needs a bit more tonal range and variation to make it more pop, if you want to.Colors are ok, but would knock back some blue that is creeping through.
