Very nice with the feathers in front of her.
I like the low POV and the ice. Nice IQ.
What is at the back of the duck? Doesn't look like feet. ? poop. If is is bird droppings I would clone it out.

    Karl,

The feather in front adds a nice touch to the image. I believe those are the feet behind the Scaup, right?

I'd consider a crop from the bottom.

Thanks Gail. I think it is the foot at least that's what I thought it was.

Looks like her foot curled under her, to me. Restful image, Karl. You have added some gems to your portfolio this winter, this being one. I have to say, not in love with the feathers. At first glance, I thought something bad had happened (Like a raptor attack) and now they just take my attention away from her. But don't go by me..I'm traumatized by that eagle eating a mallard a few posts earlier .

Hi Karl, I like this lots. I was going to say to take a bit off the bottom, but since the duck is angled towards the LRC, I feel your placement works well. The colours pop nicely from the surrounding winter BG, and I like that you left the feathers as is.

I love this image, Karl. Ice, pose, stray feathers - all of it.
