Capturing an image of any duck (let alone a Wood Duck) parallel to your focus plane with an open beak is always a treat! I like the perspective and the colors you managed to get in the head feathers.

The image overall looks a bit soft. Not sure if it's because of the 2x or a large crop. I'd try the 1.4 if you have it and see if that gives you better results.
