One of my target species on my recent trip to Belize. Every time we saw one it was on barbed wire. Maybe not the most ideal perch, but seemed to be his favorite.

    Bill:

Excellent look back pose, sharp, pretty good detail in the reds.

I am not a fan of barbed wire, but, the tones here and its weathered condition really downplays its impact here.

    Cheers

Love this image, Bill. The barbed wire works great since that is where these birds often perch. Love the pose and the BG. It all came together very nicely.

    Hi Bill,
Great looking bird and pose. Makes me a bit envious as we don't see these guys up here in my neck of the woods. Nice clarity and detail as well.

...I find the barbed wire adds a great deal of charm to this image - it has a silvery, almost frosty look that compliments this delicate little bird. Lovely colours BG is absolutely stunning

Beautiful bird and capture, Bill. Like the barbed wire perch and the two toned BG. Wonderful detail in all the feathers.

What for a beautiful bird. The look back pose is great. Colors and details, too. The BG is very nice.
For my taste the barbed wire fits very good to the bird
