I was watching this Osprey eat breakfast and had taken a couple of shots of it perched in a tree. A Cormorant flew in to land next to the Osprey flushing it with breakfast in tow. The flight path took it towards me and over my head providing a good opportunity to capture it in flight.

I love the head angle here, and the side lighting works well in this case. I suppose a better wing position for the near wing would have been better, but the overall pose works for me. I could see a version with a bit less canvas at left.

Hi Joseph, given the side lighting, i think you did well and have one eye/face well lit. For me, the wing position and the side lighting worked against you here. There is not much you can do regrading the shadow. Not sure how much cropping, but i would expect more details and sharpness. TFS. Loi

Hi, I think the composition is a little too centered maybe move the osprey to the left more so it has room to fly into. The eye contact and head tilt are really cool. I like this shot a lot!

Nice flight shot. Like the eye contact and the prey in the talons. Wish me a little bit more details in the plumage and agree with Ashleigh to move the osprey out of the center

What works best about this image is the osprey looking right at you! Would have liked a better wing position on the left, but nice catch!
