The light was continually changing, I quite liked this dark background for a change, it will be interesting to see what you think.
    All C&C welcome.

Hi Jonathan - I really like the mood that the sweet light and the dark bg create. Nice sharpness and pov and the water drops add to it.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Jon, well placed in the frame, and the colours on the Grebe do stand out against the darker BG. Great low shooting angle too.

A dark and rich portrait of this handsome bird. The subject shows good detail, especially in the face/eye/erect head feathers. The grebe is also nicely placed in the frame.

Excellent image, Jonathan. Dark BG looks beautiful on which, bird pops up nicely and water droplets are highlighted pretty well.
Beautiful low angle, colors and composition.

    Regards,
    Satish.

The dark background works well here, Jon. It makes you concentrate on the bird. The light on the bird is very pleasing.

    Nice image Jonathan.
I love dark backgrounds and well exposed birds. I like the low angle and all the details in the plumage.

This is quite lovely. Nice light on the face, and I like the jewel-bedecked back. Love the dark bg.
