    Hi Terry,
    It is Wigeon not Widgeon, A common mistake.
    Since I go all the time to the garden, I think you need to get at eye level with the ducks, very easy to do there, just lay down………
    The duck is also out of focus.
    I have the 70-200, it is not very good with the 2x, I would use a 1.4 or 1.7 or just use it at 200 at this site.
    It is so easy to get really close to them, I would try that.
    The water looks cool, it has a nice swirl and color to it.

    Awesome water color and swirls, but when possible, you've got to get down (and dirty) for these duck shots to be successful. softness already noted.
