The Sundial Bridge, a footbridge across the Sacramento River in Redding, CA, is a marvel of geometric design.
Taken today on a sunny day. Poster edges, slight crop.

I like that there are so many things pointing toward the far side of the bridge -- the foreground part of the bridge, the light between the shadows, the boat, and even the clouds. Great staging! There's a nice feeling of depth, too.

We drive through Redding a couple of times a year (always without much spare time) and have never stopped to check this out, although I have seen some intriguing shots of it. Nice perspective!

Nice geometry example and a really cool bridge! Some structures seem like they were designed to be photographed, and I think this bridge falls in that category. Nice leading lines and depth.

What an interesting shot of a beautiful bridge. I love the perspective, and the leading lines.

Hazel, great image of what looks like a very interesting bridge. I bet you could do some really nice B&W's with it.

Wonderful perspective that takes you for a ride; from the top left, down and back into the image, and suddenly, up and away into the sky!

Thanks for bringing this bridge to our attention. Amazing! Would love to walk it. Love the little boat contrasted to the bridge's sweep.

Marvelous bridge! The lines of the bridge are nice. The boat and the details of the grass detract from the simplicity and clean lines of the bridge.
