Here is a great grey owl photo from my trip to Ottawa last year with Dan.

1DX 300 f/2.8 II f/4 1/2000sec ISO 800. handheld. We used bait to attract the owl.

What a great looking pose and I love the overall scene. The perch coming out of the snow is really nice and adds allot to the image. The techs and detail are perfect and the eye color and stare are captivating. I dont think the blades of grass add to the image though, they are too detached from the perch. Great work Arash

I love everything about this shot except for the FG grasses. I would crop those out by coming up from the bottom to the "H" in your signature and clone out the remaining grass twig.
The windswept feathers really add to the image. What a magnificent, beautiful owl. I can't wait to see one in real life some day,

Just when I try to look forward to spring during this laboriously long winter you bring me back to LAST winter!! Awesome image of this gorgeous owl, I remember that perch quite well and how happy we were for the owl to land on it. Great (grey) stuff.

What an excellent portrait, Arash. And I love the perch and the bits around it. Perfect comp and balance.

Killer perched GGO shot, Arash. All elements came together to make this image special, but what makes it so good are the perch and windswept feathers!
